The Alzheimer’s Show has appointed Christina Macdonald as Online Editor in a new content drive for its recently revamped website. The Alzheimer’s Show, which attracted over 2,000 visitors to its unique two-day event in June this year, is keen to inform and educate those affected by dementia, including the public, healthcare professionals, families and carers, and those who have been diagnosed.

At this year’s Alzheimer’s Show, we at Studio Meineck are excited to announce that Music Memory Box ® is about to embark on the next stage of its journey into production. This summer, we are launching a crowdfunding campaign, which if successful will see the first batch of Music Memory Boxes manufactured and available to purchase by the end of 2016.

New online resource Dementia Help will be hosting a Carers Corner networking area at The Alzheimer’s Show in London on 9-10 June. Carers Corner will welcome carers who want to meet and talk with other carers in similar situations and share their ideas, experiences and insights on looking after a loved one with dementia.

Now in its third year, National Dementia Carers Day recognises the efforts of the thousands of ‘hidden’ carers across the UK who are caring for someone close to them who has dementia. The focus of this year’s campaign is ‘Sharing’. Carers are invited to connect and share their experiences, tips and stories; while members of the public are encouraged to get involved by sharing their appreciation for a dementia carer they know.
