The Virtual Dementia Tour is a proven method for understanding what people with dementia go through on a daily basis.
As well as free taster sessions, only at this event individuals can participate in the full Virtual Dementia Tour & Training Experience. Tickets for the full training include 1 day entry to the show at any time.
The challenges surrounding communication when supporting people living with dementia are the biggest barrier to being able to effectively support or care for that individual and this is where the Dementia Interpreters course comes in.
Experience the full practical session of the Dementia Interpreters in 1-hour Dementia Interpreter workshop exclusively at The Alzheimer’s Dementia & Care Show. Tickets include 1 day entry to the show at any time.
These sessions allow visitors to have a free 20-minute confidential consultation with an Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Advisor who can assist people with dementia and their carers in identifying their needs, providing individuals with support and help maintain their independence.
They can be booked onsite on the day at the Alzheimer’s Society stand B5 and are on a first come first served basis.
These popular 1-2-1 clinics allow visitors to have a free 25-minute confidential consultation with an Admiral Nurse. Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses supported by Dementia UK, they provide life-changing support for families affected by Alzheimer’s and all forms of dementia.
Sessions can be booked onsite on the day at the Dementia UK stand A20 and are on a first come first served basis.
The CQC will be running an ‘inspector hub’ on stand C26. All show attendees are invited to come and speak to a CQC inspector or registration manager to discuss any queries they may have; local inspectors will be able to answer any questions, as well as dealing with registration advice.
