UNITED KINGDOM HOMECARE ASSOCIATION (UKHCA) SUPPORT THE ALZHEIMER’S SHOW
We are delighted UKHCA are supporting the event this year. UKHCA is the professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors. UKHCA helps organisations that provide social care (also known as domiciliary care or homecare), which may include nursing services, to people in their own homes, promoting high standards of care and providing representation with national and regional policy-makers and regulators.
UKHCA will be leading a session on “How to get the care that is right for you at home” and Bridget Warr, UKHCA Chief Executive will also be on the “Question Time” panel.
Bridet Warr said: “UKHCA is delighted to support the Alzheimer’s Show, which plays an important role in bringing together a wide range of professionals and volunteer organisations, alongside people living with dementia and their families.
With most people wanting to stay in their own homes wherever possible, it is vital that they, their carers and other professionals understand the full range of support that is available and how to access this, in order to enable them to continue living well at home with dementia”.
