The Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre, which seats 200 visitors, provides a central hub for the expert and specialist speakers presenting to the audience of professional and personal carers over the two days. The range of topics covered will include up-to-the-minute research developments, financial advice, care paths and post-diagnostic care.

There is also commitment from a number of current and ex-cabinet Government representatives, as well as specialists from the Dementia Friends initiative and Dementia UK (Admiral Nurses), all of whom will be confirmed and announced in March.
In addition to the in-depth talks on key topics of interest for carers, relatives and professionals, the Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre, sponsored by Red & Yellow Care, will provide the venue for a chaired ‘Question Time’ session on both days and also Dementia Friends Information sessions throughout the event.
“We’re delighted to sponsor the Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre at The Alzheimer’s Show 2014 and together help raise awareness for new and innovative ways of improving the care of people with dementia and supporting their families” said Dr Bahbak Miremadi, founding director of Red & Yellow Care.
“It’s great that this event brings together a diverse group of organisations and individuals set on addressing dementia and the many challenges it presents. We hope that by moving towards a model of treating the whole person, not just the condition, we can help people with dementia and their families live life to the full,” continued Dr Miremadi.
