DESIGNABILITY AT THE ALZHEIMER’S SHOW

Find out how we ‘Design for People’ at The Alzheimer’s ShowDesignability will be showcasing how they ‘Design for People’ at The Alzheimer’s Show 2016 on 10-11 June 2016 at Olympia, London, on stand G12.

The team are inviting people to join in and share their daily experiences and challenges which current products do not fully meet.

An interactive wall will offer the opportunity for people living with dementia and their relatives to record their thoughts and ideas for products that could make life easier.

Jess Fox, Industrial Designer and Researcher at Designability, said: “This human-centred design approach is at the heart of our charity’s work. Our research and development reflects real needs that exist that are not currently being met by products already out there.

“That’s why we ‘Design for People’, with people. We cannot create innovative products and technologies without invaluable insights from people who are in need of greater independence and support.”

If you are:

  • someone living with dementia
  • a professional supporting others or
  • if you help to care for someone who needs help day to day;

…then you can share your challenges, or ideas for something that you think would help.

Designability is always looking to discover unmet needs and seek to design solutions that fulfil them, with products that could improve quality of life and enhance independence.

You will find the team from Designability on stand G12.

Those who are unable to attend in person can still follow along and contribute by tweeting using the hashtag #design4people or by following @DesignabilityUK.
