The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Show 2025, NEC Birmingham, 19 -20 March

Free entry event to run alongside UK Care Week and Naidex

London – 17 March 2025: This year’s Alzheimer’s & Dementia Show - NEC, Birmingham 19 - 20 March - will for the first time run alongside UK Care Week, Naidex and Neuro Convention. These Free entry events aim to unite the care community by allowing the general public and professional carers to access and explore the interconnected aspects of health and social care, rehabilitation & inclusion and diversity.

Over the last 12 years, The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Show has established itself as the UK’s leading event for care providers, healthcare professionals, families and carers. The show features a fully accredited CPD conference programme with talks from leading experts, family carers and people living with dementia alongside professional advice clinics, dementia and care exhibitors.

One of the featured sessions on the conference programme includes a presentation by Vic Lyons, a Senior Consultant Admiral Nurse at Dementia UK, on how artificial intelligence (AI) will increasingly be used in dementia research and care.

Nigel Ward, the founder of The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Show, said: “In the continuing absence of more robust financial support, both persons living with dementia and their carers desperately need and deserve all the practical help and reassurance they can get. The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Show aims to offer them easy access to products and information from trusted suppliers and CPD accredited experts.

“Now in tandem with UK Care Week, Naidex and Neuro Convention, visitors can access a wealth of health and social care guidance all under one roof, aiding the quality of care they strive to provide.”

For professionals this event is the only one in the UK to offer four unique training opportunities for individuals, all of which include CPD certificates for both Training and Attendance.

  • The Virtual Dementia Tour is for anyone working in any form of dementia care or living with someone with dementia. It offers a greater knowledge and understanding of how to improve the lives of those with dementia by experiencing an immersive tour taking eight minutes followed by a tailored 75 minute individual debriefing and training session.

  • Dementia Interpreters – learning the ‘language’ of dementia takes away your ability to speak, see, hear and move your body and is the first experiential course specifically designed to simulate the communication needs of people living with dementia. It forces you to find new ways to communicate and recognise how to better understand living with dementia.

  • The Autism Reality Experience was created by autistic people to allow businesses to adjust their service and practice to truly make them integrated into society. Experiential training like no other, this short glimpse into their world will improve yours and theirs forever.

  • Dining Immersive Experiential Training (DIET) is a life adjusting course for those that work or support people that have dementia. Delegates will be engaged in current practice and understanding, be involved in discussions and learning and will have abilities removed to understand what it is like for people with dementia.
