The Law Society is to support The Alzheimer’s Show
The Alzheimer’s Show is pleased to announce that The Law Society is supporting the show. Richard Roberts, Chair of the Wills and Equity Committee, will be speaking in the ‘Alzheimer’s Matters’ theatre about wills, probate and a range of practical issues. Other lawyers will also be talking and on hand to discuss any concerns visitors may have.
A representative from the Law Society said: “The Law Society is pleased to support the Alzheimer’s Show 2012. Solicitors along with other professional services have a crucial role to play in protecting the interests of those with Alzheimer’s. We wish the show every success in what is a worthy endeavour.”
Dementia UK is providing an Admiral nurse to speak about practical solutions for carers. They will also be exhibiting at the show.
Also in the main theatre, Penny Hibberd, Director of Dementia Services Development, Canterbury Christ Church University will be talking about and offering advice around nutrition, eating and drinking. This will be a session that has a practical focus for an audience predominantly made up from people with dementia, the public and family carers.
In addition to these speakers the ‘Alzheimer’s Matters’ theatre will host a large conference and discussion programme which will give visitors unique access to professionals speaking on topics such as the latest advances in research, practical solutions to daily issues, Government policy, clinical trials, telecare, assistive technology as well as ‘question time’ panel sessions.
In the Workshop, Maizie Mears-Owen from Care UK will be hosting two sessions. Other businesses confirmed to speak are The Good Care Group and Abbeyfield.
