As the UK’s leading dementia research charity and one of three top dementia research charities in the world Alzheimer’s Research UK specialises in finding preventions, causes, treatments and a cure for dementia. In 2011 they committed over £5 million to research projects.
Rebecca Wood, Chief Executive of Alzheimer’s Research UK said:
“We are pleased to support The Alzheimer’s Show, which will provide valuable advice and information for people with all forms of dementia, their carers and families. We look forward to meeting attendees and sharing more about the great strides being taken in dementia research. We will also be talking about how people can take an active part in dementia research and other ways they can support our world-leading scientists. Dementia affects so many of us in the UK, either directly or through families and friends; the Alzheimer’s Show is a great opportunity to come together, share experiences and find out more about what help is available.”
